ESL Students Enjoy Houston Rodeo

ESL Students at Rodeo

ESL Students at RodeoIt’s that time of year again, y’all! On Wednesday, March 19, our Intensive English Program students “dusted off their boots and set their cowboy hats on straight” for our annual trip to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. More than fifty of our ESL students turned out to enjoy this famous Houston event, many wearing newly purchased boots and hats in honor of the occasion. Students wandered the fairgrounds, tried deep-fried oreos for the first time (a big hit) and took in all of the exciting rodeo events. After the animals were herded out of the arena, we were part of a sold-out crowd for the Florida Georgia Line concert, where our students learned a new English phrase: “hip-hop country.”
