Are you suffering from writer’s block? Are you unable to complete a masterpiece? Or do you just want to reclaim your creative self? This spring, rediscover the joy of creativity through The Artist’s Way: Creativity course.
Instructor Karleen Koen, the author of the New York Times bestseller “Through a Glass Darkly,” will help you unleash your own inner artist using Julia Cameron’s book “The Artist’s Way” as a guide. This six-week course includes journaling, conversation and class participation where you will engage in a series of small, creative acts to open up your expressive, imaginative self and develop creative habits.
Koen shares her thoughts on how “The Artist’s Way” can impact your life:
What “The Artist’s Way” does is challenge. Why aren’t you living more creatively? And then, it proposes very, very small steps to begin opening to the creative part we all possess. It is tough love, gentle but insistent. If you dare to do it, you will open to your creativity and you’ll find out what a friend it is to you. I know. I saw others, and I had my own experiences. People who stayed for all 12 chapters actually made changes in their lives. They began to take music lessons again or started writing something or picked up a paint brush. They became more authentic to all of themselves.
Are you ready to take the spiritual path to higher creativity? Then join us Tuesday, February 25 for our first daytime meeting in the new Anderson-Clarke Center.
