This week we kicked off our Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI), which will take place over the next three weeks on the Rice campus. The AP program is the national standard for academic rigor and college readiness, giving high school students the opportunity to take college-level courses in a high school setting and providing them with the best preparation for post-secondary success.
APSI offers teachers of all AP subject areas the opportunity to sharpen their skills, learning from experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated College Board-endorsed lead consultants. APSI attracts more than 1,900 teachers from 229 public school districts in 30 states and international participants from Canada, China, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Qatar and the Virgin Islands.
The following video, produced by Kathryn Van Auken, features highlights from last year’s APSI.
