Our spring 2013 courses are now open for registration! Within personal development alone, we have more than 50 sections of courses available, so there’s something for everyone.
“We partnered with various departments within Rice University and many local organizations to put together an exciting lineup of courses to be led by expert instructors,” explains Steve Garfinkel, director of community programs. Participants in this spring’s courses will learn about paintable batteries from the director of the lab in which they were created and listen to perspectives on the Arab Spring from Ambassador Edward P. Djerejian, founding director of Rice University’s Baker Institute. You can also register for our course on Fabergé and hear from Caroline de Guitaut, the queen’s curator at the Royal Collection Trust in London.
Here are a few more highlights:
- “Life in Downton Abbey: The Fiction and the Reality”
- “Reshaping Our World: Recent Scientific Breakthroughs”
- “The Fabled Art of Fabergé”
- “Perspectives on the Arab Spring”
