Information Sessions are Telling

Information SessionsHave you ever wondered what happens at an information session? We had Shannon Raffetto, Program Coordinator for the Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership, Carroll Scherer, Director of Professional Programs, and Rebecca Sanchez, Associate Director of Master of Liberal Studies, weigh in on the topic.

What can one expect at an information session?

You will receive a brief overview of the history of the Glasscock School and the program you are pursuing. You can expect a short introduction to the curriculum, schedule, format, instructors, books and materials, registration and/or application process, and desired outcomes. Sometimes faculty and even current and former students attend to share their experience.

How are information sessions useful?

Information sessions are a great way to get an in-depth look at a particular program and speak directly with the director and instructors within the program. You get to meet other people who share your same interests.

Upcoming Information Sessions

We offer information sessions for the Master of Liberal Studies program as well as individual programs in the Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership and Professional Development. These programs provide personal and professional enrichment, promote career advancement and, in some cases, prepare you for a national certification exam.

Join us for an information session to gain firsthand knowledge of an upcoming program, become familiar with Rice campus and meet potential classmates.
