“The Diary of a Young Girl” by Anne Frank and “Walden” by Henry David Thoreau are two of the many famous journals in history. As a woman, you may remember your first lock and key diary where you wrote about your first crush. As a man, you may have kept a journal on a travel expedition. No matter what the circumstances, journal writing is one of the best forms of self-expression. It is one place where you can write what you want, think what you think and express what you feel. It is a way to celebrate life’s moments, heal from difficult times and become better acquainted with yourself.
